The Joinery is dedicated to the fine art of furniture and cabinetry building using traditional methods and materials. We specialize in custom designed, one of kind pieces, in styles from traditional to contemporary. Offering a careful balance of form and function has kept The Joinery in the fore front of wood craftsmanship since 1980.

Nestled in the pine trees of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, The Joinery is owned and operated by Master Craftsman, Paul Pidskalny. Pidskalny attended North Bennet Street School in Boston, Massachusetts. He has more than 30 years experience in custom woodworking design, build and finishes. From initial design consult to completion of installation, Pidskalny personally manages each and every project. Paul prides himself and his shop in having a fine design sense, hand selected woods, superb craftsmanship and being able to incorporate client input into each piece throughout the entire job. Design details, hardware and finishes are always open to selection and The Joinery encourages collaboration with their clients. Making custom furniture and cabinetry to order, not only details craftsmanship but insures the wood is on display in every facet. Hand work is a critical component in creating each piece. In his spare time, Paul enjoys the art of turning and carving.
